Shofar Blowing

Tradition says before the "new year" in the month of Elul, the Shofar is blown for about 1 month before the new year.

At one of the churches that I attended while was a practicing Christian in Santa Barbara, the pastor (the son of Al Merrick of AL Merrick Surfboards) Britt Merrick, would blow the Shofar before some of the services.  Nevertheless, I remember that infamous day in November of 2014...

Unfortunately, Sun Tzu's sayings became, somewhat inaccurate for me, but are good little reminders as is the Study of Torah.
