Tish B'Av - Rosh Hashanah - Yom Kippur - Sukkot - Channukah
Not to belabour the festive holiday season, by 'starting' this page during the 9 or 10 days of mourning. The 9 or 10 days of Awe commence during the month of AV on the Jewish calendar and typically coincide during July/August on the Pope Gregorian calendar. Some (perhaps just me) have, due to learning, perhaps, some things Jewish from Rabbi F, Sheldon and many others...at times added something a little extra special into the Jewish holiday seasoning...like, the word Shock. The 9 or 10 days of Shock and Awe, the German Blitzkrieg military strategy, that includes in a generalized overview, but, not limited to, lightning quick and uber powerful blows to the adversaries forces. By design, forms a weaking of the adversaries mindset and light damages. The German military strategy, most likely, was deployed, during that time period, for tactics to slow combatant forces from advancing, knowing, perhaps, that the war would ultimately be lost, nevertheless, the campaign would defend and allow time to negotiate terms of survival.
Imagine, perhaps, that this type of strategy was also, similarly deployed during the defense of the Temple? Nevertheless, in the modern era, represents a sense of spiritual and soul's survival. In other words, laying low.
